The Hospital CEO of the Year’ Gold award has been presented to Ms. Nguyen Thuc Anh, Chief Executive Officer, CEO of Hanh Phuc International Hospital. This is the first time a Vietnamese CEO received this prestigious Gold award. Ms. Thuc Anh is recognized for her leadership commitment to promote ‘Empathy’ and ‘Zero Harm’ practice in Hanh Phuc International hospital. She implemented an innovative program ‘Gemba Power Walk’ (Japanese word- ‘Gemba’ means “the real place”), a tool first time practice in hospital industry to endorse empathy and ensure excellence safety culture for patient.

Besides, Hanh Phuc International Hospital also received another Excellence award on ‘most improved local hospital’ in 2019 presented to project “The hospital identified six areas for improvement”. The project was implemented from January, 2018, including six quality improvement programs: [1] Safety culture, [2] Risk management, [3] Paediatric food services, [4] Hand hygiene, [5] Incident, and [6] Patient Eyes Round.

Ms. Thuc Anh said, “I am honored to receive two HMA prestigious awards. These awards remind us that we must strive more and more to keep our commitment on refining an excellence safety service to the patient”

HMA 2019 conference was held from Sep 11 – 12, 2019 at Vietnam National Convention Center, Hanoi, Vietnam with presence of more than 1.284  hospitals Owners, Investors, CEOs, Directors, Hospital Accreditation Body Representatives.With two award received at HMA 2019,  Hanh Phuc International Hospial became one of the few hospital had outstanding achievement for 2 years in succession.
